Evening visit

It was a last minute decision to drag everyone to the nicu tonight. Ian went back to work today and was very busy. My mom had asked to go see them so we gathered the whole crew into the car and the kids waited in the waiting room with my sister, while Ian, my mom, and I went in to see the babies.
Addison seems to be tolerating his 1ml feeds so far. He had a very full dirty diaper. I was surprised at how full his diaper was. I needed 2 whole baby wipes to lean my little 1lb. baby.
Riley is still under partial saran wrap but they were hoping to get him moved to his isolette tonight. They hope to start feeding him breastmilk in the next few days. They like to wait at least a day after taking out the arterial line before starting feedings.
I was able to see where Riley's right eye is starting to open. You can tell he's trying really hard to open his eyes. I'm so used to seeing my babies with their eyes closed that it will be quite a shock to see them looking back at me.
