Riley's culture from the 11th is still negative for infection!! He needs his culture from yesterday and today to both come back negative before he's considered infection free! After he has 3 days of negatives, he'll continue to get the antibiotics for 2 full weeks. He is up to 8cc of breastmilk and not having any belly distension or aspirates. He was also weighed today and is almost caught up to his brother. He weighed 1lb. 7.8oz.!! Not bad for not eating for so long.
Addison started getting some additional vitamins added into his feedings. He now gets a smelly vitamin mix once a day, potassium (he's back on the diruel), and vitamin K in addition to the 22 calorie fortifier. He had his breaths per minute turned down and was in room air (21% oxygen) for most of the day. That cpap doesn't seem too far off anymore! His lungs are still a bit gunky but they ordered a chest x-ray that looked normal.
Daddy got to read the boys their books today and they both opened their eyes and looked around while he was reading.
